Episcopal Refugee Network
- RICE and COOKING OIL - February's Donation Drive

Our Holy Cross collection efforts will be on two food staples the refugee families from Burma, Sudan and Bhutan rely on for almost every meal - Rice and Cooking Oil. Uncooked white rice of any variety and any size package is welcomed, as is any container of cooking oil. If you prefer to make a cash donation, Holy Cross will purchase rice and cooking oil with that money. Write "ERN" on the memo line of your check. Donation deadline is February 29.
- Tutoring Program
Each Tuesday afternoon, a group of Episcopalians and other supporters from San Diego tutor school-aged children recently relocated from Burma. The tutoring takes place at St. Mark's, San Diego. Mike participates in this program most Tuesdays. He is happy to provide transportation for those interested in tutoring, primarily in math and reading. If you are able, please consider joining in this meaningful effort! Contact Mike C. is you have any questions regarding the ERN.

Social Justice
Greeting Cards for St. Jude's Ranch
Once again, we will be collecting used greeting cards for St. Jude's Ranch, a haven for abused children in Nevada. The children who are resident recycle the cards that are sent, creating new ones to sell. Any used greeting card - thank you, get well, birthday, holiday, sympathy - is welcome. Just cut the front off the card and bring it to the box in the Tietge Room labeled "St. Jude's Ranch." We will send the cards in early February. Contact Phyllis G if you have questions.

We Care Birthday Bag Project
Please remember our We Care Birthday Bag Project benefitting Meals-on-Wheels when you are shopping. We need sample/travel sizes of personal items for MEN - hair products for men, shaving creams, manly scented soaps and hand lotion, calculators, playing cards, mouth wash. Mary Lou will also shop for you, just issue a $ check to Holy Cross Episcopal Church and put "Meals-on-Wheels" on the memo line.
